3rd isn’t bad, either

Well, as of last night Luke’s little league season has drawn to a close. They lost their game, 18-3. One of our kids was out with a broken arm and two that played were sick (one with the stomach flu, as I got to witness before the game, oh how fun). Incidentally we never made it to the Cub Scout pack meeting last Thursday (although they did win *that* game, and it was a real fun one to watch); we weren’t done at the park until a half hour after the meeting was over, and we couldn’t leave early because one kid was missing (in addition to the one with the broken arm) so there wouldn’t have been enough kids to play.

It was a lot of fun to watch the kids get their third place medals. They were the bottom seed, in 8th place, coming into the playoffs so it was really exciting that they got medals. Here is Luke wearing his proudly after the game:

Well I’m sorry they didn’t win the whole thing, but Mom to Mom – aren’t you glad to be done?! LOL I felt the same when swim season ended.

As I keep telling Ethan, it’s not about winning, but participating, but 3rd place isn’t bad!

    Congratulations to Luke!
